New Kenya Arrivals
These lots are grown in the Kirinyaga region in central Kenya, where the peak of the harvest is in mid-December, earlier than neighboring regions like Nyeri.
These selections represent some of the higher-intensity acidity lots from this harvest. They’re bright and lively coffees with flavors of cranberry, lemonade, orange citrus and a pleasant sweetness akin to brown sugar and toffee. Some real bangers. We hope that you enjoy them as much as we do.
The Rungeto Co-op
The Rungeto Co-op operates 3 factories (mills) including Kii, Kiangoi and Karimikui. Roughly 4500 farmers belong to this co-op and they have a higher level of production than the national average.
The Baragwi Co-op
The Baragwi co-op has 12 factories and is the biggest co-op in Kenya in terms of members and harvested volume (they have 16,892 farmer-members!). The co-op organizes a lot of training for farmers and they distribute organic fertilizer to farmers.
